5 Minutes with… Adam Olden

‘5 minutes with…’ is our interview series where we speak to employees at Moorgate and gain a deeper understanding of their roles and how they got to where they are today.

Today we have Adam Olden, one of our Senior Account Managers.

How did you get to your current role?

After being in the Military for five years, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in finance. I thought this could be a challenge, however in 2022 I was offered a job as an entry level Trainee Account Manager at Moorgate Finance. After four months I was promoted to an Account Manager, where I further developed my skills and knowledge and really began to gain a real understanding of the industry. After only 12 months I was promoted again to Senior Account Manager, which is my current role.

What is a typical day like for you?

A typical day at Moorgate begins by getting in early so that I can set my tasks for the day and make sure that my team have done the same. From there I will follow up on any administration tasks that need looking at to make sure they are done on time. I will then start the bulk of my calling period, which involves talking to both existing and new clients.

What is your biggest achievement?

My biggest achievement is being promoted to a team leader role and helping new account managers to learn the ropes of the business and industry as a whole.

What is the most challenging aspect of your role?

The most challenging aspect of the role is managing my own day. As a team leader I enjoy helping my team where I can and giving them the best advice to get a deal done.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

The most rewarding aspect of the role is being able to help my customers to fund the equipment that they need to operate and grow. I find it a really rewarding aspect of my role as I am able to provide complex financial agreements for customers who need them the most.

If you could sum up Moorgate in three words, what would they be?

Reliable, efficient and ambitious.
