5 Minutes With…Fraser Bell

5 minutes with…’ is our interview series where we speak to employees at Moorgate and gain a deeper understanding of their roles and how they got to where they are today.

Today we have Fraser Bell, our IT Support Technician.

How did you get to your current role?

When I first joined Moorgate Finance I had no previous IT experience, but I have always had a passion for it. I started out at the company carrying out general IT and office checks and learning some basic cabelling. From there I began bolstering our security, user rollouts, automations and improvements to our CRM.

What is a typical day like for you?

A typical day at work normally consists of regular office walk arounds and security checks and helping the Monday morning regulars with their IT queries. It can also involve many different projects to improve the overall IT experience. Every day is different and the skills I have learnt working here are invaluable.

What is your biggest achievement?

My biggest achievement at work has been creating a cohesive and versatile office space, allowing team leaders the freedom to modify office layouts with ease. I am also proud of the automations I have created for a few of the many spreadsheets we use around the office, and making them look fancy, as well as creating interactive dashboards for four different departments.

What is the most challenging aspect of your role?

Admitting to Mus that I am in the wrong.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

The most rewarding aspect of my role is helping others to achieve solutions to IT problems around the office.

If you could sum up Moorgate in three words, what would they be?

Friendly, community, variety.
