Boosting Operations at a Print and Embroiders

When it comes to funding, the requirement for boosted capital often comes from businesses wanting to upscale and seize new opportunities.

That was the case when a London based Print and Embroidery shop ‘Suite FA’ contacted us. A one-stop shop for all digital sublimation, embroidery, screen printing, vinyl transfer and more!

Suite FA offer bespoke items to their customers like cushions, bags, aprons, placemats and coasters. They also offer a trade printing service. With everything being done in-house, they need to ensure they have the right equipment for the wide-range of services they offer.

The Challenge

The business was looking to upscale, but their current machinery didn’t necessarily allow them to do so at the required rate.

For example, their heat press machine was an older model and therefore less efficient. Their ability to produce more units per hour was also limited by only having one Dye Sublimation printer.

Therefore, Suite FA needed to raise additional capital to make new investments and meet customer demand.

The Solution

We were pleased to help this business in several areas, providing funding for different requirements. First, we funded a Tajima TMEZ-KC Series 4 Head embroidery machine, worth £34,740 – helping to reduce operation costs and increase turnover.

Next, we looked at their need for a second Dye Sublimation Printer and helped to fund an Epson SureColor SC-F6400H, worth £8,320. This additional machine meant the business could increase units per hour in production.

Finally, the outdated heat press was replaced for a new A1 Pneumatic Heat Press worth £3,858 and is now more efficient and effective for the job.

The Highlights

  • Funding 3 separate pieces of machinery to boost the business in multiple areas.
  • Helped to secure over £45,000 of funding.
  • Allowed the business to reduce operating costs, boost turnover and production efficiency.
