£294,000 Funded for an Italian Restaurant Fit Out

Helping business to grow is what we do best, so the Project Finance team were ready to help when a successful restaurant group returns to us to open their fourth site.

The Challenge

This returning customer was preparing to open their fourth restaurant site and required funding for a full fit out. They required funding for 100% of the fit-out cost, from start to finish, covering everything from specialist commercial kitchen equipment to joinery and CCTV systems. The key priorities were clear: to preserve their cash flow and ensure all suppliers were paid on time to avoid any delays.

The Solution

Drawing on our expansive panel of lenders, we structured the £294,000 of finance across seven different lenders, securing terms over 60-months to fully cover the costs of the restaurant project. Every asset, from specialist kitchen equipment to CCTV systems was funded under a lease agreement to maximise tax efficiency. By structuring the deal to exclude VAT from the deposit, we preserved the client’s working capital, freeing up funds for operations and running costs.

Moorgate Project Finance managed the payments to eleven different suppliers, ensuring every deadline was met and invoices were paid on time. This meant any disruption was avoided and the restaurant was fully fitted out to allow the opening to be on time.

The Highlights
